Community Midwives

We have a team of community midwives attached to the practice. Jo Shuttleworth is our named midwife. She has a clinic here every Wednesday morning. The team of midwives are involved in antenatal, delivery and postnatal care, both within the practice and at the hospital. They are present at our weekly antenatal clinic, the hospital antenatal clinic and at delivery. It is intended that they will become familiar faces during your pregnancy.

Community Nurses

We have a team of nurses attached to the practice who work closely with the doctors and will visit patients in their homes. The district nurses work from various bases. Please contact our surgery for contact details for the one most suitable for you.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
